According to a report published by New Straits Times on 16 October 2025, a total of 5,972 foreigners hold valid passes under the revamped Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) programme as of 31 August 2025. Of this number, 2,134 are principal pass holders while 3,838 are dependants.

This information was disclosed by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC) in a written parliamentary reply from Minister Tiong King Sing. The report also reiterated that MM2H does not grant citizenship, and foreign nationals seeking citizenship must apply separately through the National Registration Department.
